Trauma is any incident that causes physical, emotional, or psychological harm. Trauma can occur from any number of events, including combat injuries, childhood abuse, witnessing an alarming situation, or surviving a natural disaster, to name just a few.
Effects of Trauma on the Mind and Body
People may experience a full range of emotions after a loss or during the grieving process, such as: People who have experienced trauma during their lifetime may experience a variety of symptoms.
